Submitted on 7/3/2017 Review title of AdvancedNo copy/paste between desktops I had a major issue with Microsofts regular desktop remote desktop and using a 4k monitor connecting to a 2008 windows server. The UI and text were incredibly small. This App resolved that issue as I can set the resolution. The app is a bit slow, but it does the job. The reason for downgrading stars is that I cannot copy and paste from the network computer to my local computer. This can be done with the desktop version and I'm hoping they add to the app soon.
So even though I can do everyting in the app, I still need to use the desktop version to retrieve my files. If I go into my citrix receiver session while this is open, remote desktop magnifies and refuses to get any smaller, if you click the magnification button it just gets bigger! The Remote Desktop app does not update the 'Change the size of the display' setting to compensate for the resolution differences between the displays, in either case of a new connection or resizing an existing one. The behavior almost seems like a bug, because on a new connection I can manually select the highest available RDP resolution, drag the display scaling slider to the desired setting, then change resolution back to 'Choose for me' and the display scaling setting sticks. As far as functionality - this is an awesome app for Windows 10. As a former user of Remote Desktop Connection Manager, which didn't work so well on my Surface Book, I was very happy to find this app.
